Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Structural Engineer to perform detailed calculations for curtain wall, storefront and fenestration systems. You will evaluate aluminum framing components, interpret construction documents, and prepare complete calculation packages that support safe, code-compliant building envelopes.

This fully remote role requires coordinating with project teams across the United States, reviewing shop drawings, developing models (RISA 3D when appropriate), and communicating design

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, Architectural, Mechanical, or similar from an ABET/EAC-accredited program.
• 5–9 years of relevant engineering experience in structural design or related fields.
• Direct experience performing structural calculations for curtain wall, fenestration, glazing, or building-envelope systems.
• Knowledge of aluminum framing systems and curtain wall components.
• Experience with IBC/ASCE 7 wind and seismic provisions.
• Ability to interpret architectural/structural drawings and coordinate with shop drawings.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural calculations for curtain wall, storefront, window wall, and related glazing systems.
• Analyze aluminum framing components for structural adequacy and code compliance.
• Develop and review structural models, including RISA 3D when appropriate.
• Coordinate with drafting staff and clients to ensure alignment and accuracy.
