The Strategy Project Manager I role supports the development and implementation of enterprise-level strategies, promotes and implements process optimization, and solves ongoing business issues. Oversees a portfolio of continuous improvement engagements identified to materially improve business performance, shapes the deployment of continuous improvement methodology, and develops tools/analytics to drive cultural and organizational transformation to accomplish business objectives. Collaborates with senior business leaders, functional leaders, and employees to understand needs, map current states, design future states, and deploy sustainable processes. While the primary focus of this role is in either mortgage lending or loan servicing, incumbents will also participate in cross-functional strategic projects across the enterprise. Perform all duties in accordance with all company guidelines and applicable federal, state, and local regulations. The target pay range for this position is $93,900.

Note to applicants: This position requires residence near Dallas/Plano, TX, Westfield, IN, or Nashville, TN, as travel to a Carrington office is required several times per year.

What You’ll Do

1. Collaborate with business leaders to assess needs and develop solutions to promote growth and efficiency.
2. Manage a portfolio of business projects, assess and analyze business impact, and communicate project activities and updates.
3. Lead projects through analysis, specification, design, development, and deployment.
4. Translate requirements into objectives, develop detailed schedules, estimates, and resource plans.
5. Manage multiple projects with various stakeholder groups.
6. Build and execute project communication plans to keep stakeholders informed.
7. Establish KPIs, design reporting solutions, and promote data-driven decision making.
8. Analyze findings and implement process improvements.
9. Promote a culture of collaboration, accountability, operational excellence, and quality.
10. Perform other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Need

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
• Project Management experience required.
• Mortgage Lending or Mortgage Servicing background is a plus.
• Experience managing projects under tight timelines.
• Strong business knowledge and analytical skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks with urgency and results focus.
• Strategic thinking, technical expertise, and hands-on experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Encompass, TPO portals, and Loan Operating Systems.
• Ability to interact effectively with senior management.
• Organizational and prioritization skills for long-term work planning.
• Effective presentation skills for internal and external audiences.
