Job summary

Homeaglow is seeking a Strategic Finance Associate to join a remote, US-based role. You will support the core financial model, analyze unit economics, and answer leadership growth questions by leveraging SQL, AI tools, and dashboards.

You will influence strategy across engineering, operations, marketing, and care while contributing to corporate development initiatives. You will work closely with the strategic finance lead, turning data into actionable recommendations and building self-service

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in investment banking, management consulting, growth/private equity, or similar startup/tech roles.
• Fluency in cohort and waterfall analysis, ideally in a consumer, monthly retention context.
• Proficiency in SQL, or the ability to learn quickly, plus enthusiasm for AI tools like Claude.
• Strong structured problem-solving skills to frame ambiguous issues and drive root-cause analysis.
• Clear written and verbal communication suited to a fully remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain the core financial model and unit economics.
• Work directly in data using SQL and AI tools.
• Run ad-hoc, data-heavy analysis to size opportunities and test experiments.
• Investigate performance drivers from funnel to root cause.
• Build dashboards and self-service analytics for cross-team use.
• Partner with Engineering, Operations, Marketing, and Care to quantify recommendations.
• Support long-term corporate development initiatives including M&A and investor relations.
