Job summary

AMG & Associates, Inc. is seeking a Communications Specialist for a full-time contract role to develop and deliver clear internal and external communications that align with organizational goals.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in corporate communications, strong writing and editing skills, and experience coordinating across marketing, HR, operations, and leadership. Remote or hybrid work arrangements are available, with a typical 40-hour week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, English, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in communications, corporate communications, public relations, marketing communications, internal communications, content development, or a related discipline.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with exceptional grammar, tone, clarity, and detail.
• Ability to translate complex information into concise and audience-appropriate communications.
• Experience writing and editing professional communications, reports, newsletters, and digital content.

Responsibilities

• Develop, write, edit, and distribute internal and external communications, including announcements, newsletters, presentations, reports, and organizational updates.
• Develop communication strategies and messaging aligned with business objectives and stakeholder needs.
• Collaborate with leadership, marketing, HR, operations, and other departments to identify communication requirements and develop messaging.
• Translate complex information into clear, concise communications.
• Manage communication calendars, schedules, deadlines, and distribution plans across multiple initiatives.
• Draft executive communications, leadership announcements, employee updates, talking points, and presentations.
• Support internal communication initiatives designed to improve employee engagement and organizational alignment.
• Coordinate communications for organizational initiatives, business changes, projects, programs, and events.
• Review and edit materials for accuracy, tone, and adherence to standards.
• Develop content for digital channels such as email, intranet, websites, and social media when applicable.
• Support change-management communications and crisis communications as needed.
