Job summary

CSAA Insurance Group, a AAA insurer, seeks a State Product Associate to act as the primary contact for assigned states, delivering products in compliance with local markets. The role requires understanding of regulatory landscapes, strong analytical and presentation skills, and the ability to partner across teams.

The position is remote within the United States (excluding Hawaii and Alaska) with opportunities to influence product strategy and regulatory responses.

Qualifications

• 4 years of related work experience
• BA/BS or equivalent work experience
• Familiarity with state insurance regulatory landscape and market, including rate, rules and forms
• Understanding of insurance products
• Strong analytical and processing skills with ability to see the big picture and make solid recommendations
• Strong communication skills; ability to communicate clearly to a wide variety of stakeholders
• Ability to partner successfully with others
• Ability to deliver formal presentations with support
• Organizational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Acts as a primary point of contact for assigned states.
• Has an understanding of the local regulatory landscape and competition.
• With support from leader, works across the organization to successfully deliver products in compliance with local markets.
• Researches and stays current on local regulatory conditions.
• Uses research and analytical skills to inform approaches to market changes and responses to legislative changes.
• Analyzes available data to identify trends and issues in assigned territory, reviewing findings with leadership.
• Performs analysis of assigned function or business area and translates findings into appropriate applications, such as process changes, informing strategy, etc.
• Works in a highly consultative role and presents issues, with management support, to senior management (regularly up to Dir level).
• Supports new product implementation as the SME in the local market.
• Participates in cross-functional projects (e.g., system defects, discounts, forms, contracting changes)
