Qualifications

• Experience in startup accounting, public accounting, or outsourced accounting.
• Familiarity with startup reporting, cash flow, financial controls, and financing readiness.
• Ability to discuss business needs with founders without overstepping boundaries.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with startup founders, accountants, and finance operators in Washington DC.
• Identify signals that a company may be preparing for a capital raise or growth phase.
• Hold high-level conversations about timing, goals, and interest in additional support.
• Qualify whether an introduction to Acquisition Network would be relevant.
• Coordinate introductions only after receiving permission from the founder.
• Maintain accurate notes, relationship records, and follow-up activity.
• Share general feedback on recurring accounting readiness questions founders encounter.
