Job summary

Acquisition Network is seeking a Startup Partnerships Advisor with startup accounting or CPA experience in New York. You will develop relationships across founders and accountants, identify companies approaching fundraising, and coordinate consent-based introductions to our team.

This is a paid, remote independent contractor role focused on partner development and founder introductions. You will work autonomously, maintain notes, and uphold client confidentiality as you expand our network.

Qualifications

• Experience in startup accounting, public accounting, outsourced accounting, controllership, or a related advisory role.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with startup founders, accountants, finance operators, and other professional advisors in New York.
• Recognize signals that a company may be preparing for a capital raise or significant growth phase.
• Hold high-level conversations about timing, goals, and interest in additional support.
• Qualify whether an introduction to Acquisition Network would be relevant.
• Coordinate introductions only after receiving permission from the founder.
• Maintain accurate notes, relationship records, and follow-up activity.
• Share general feedback about the recurring accounting and readiness questions founders encounter.
