Job summary

Acquisition Network LLC is seeking a Startup Partnerships Advisor with startup accounting or CPA experience in Chicago. You will develop relationships with founders and accountants, identify companies approaching fundraising, and coordinate consent-based introductions to our team.

You will bring an accounting background to understand financing readiness and the questions founders face as they prepare to grow. This is a remote contractor role.

Qualifications

• Experience in startup accounting, public accounting, outsourced accounting, controllership, or related advisory roles.
• Familiarity with startup reporting, cash flow, financial controls, financing readiness, and founder decision-making.
• Professional relationships within the startup ecosystem in Chicago.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with startup founders, accountants, finance operators, and other professionals in Chicago.
• Recognize signals that a company may be preparing for a capital raise or growth.
• Hold high-level conversations about timing, goals, and interest in additional support.
• Qualify whether an introduction to Acquisition Network would be relevant.
• Coordinate introductions after obtaining founder permission.
• Maintain notes, relationship records, and follow-up activity.
• Share feedback about recurring accounting and readiness questions.
