Job summary

Kruze Consulting is seeking a Controller to lead financial management for 15–20 startup clients in a fully remote U.S. environment. You will own month-end close, financial reporting, and compliance, guiding multi-client bookkeeping and analysis.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years of corporate accounting, GAAP expertise, CPA progress, and proficiency with QuickBooks Online and Excel. This role emphasizes accuracy, urgency, and startup-focused collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
• 8+ years of corporate accounting experience.
• Experience in a multi-client environment.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, budgeting, cost accounting, and controls.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks Online; Excel/Google Sheets skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial management for 15–20 startup clients.
• Oversee full-cycle accounting and month-end close.
• Prepare financial statements and management reports.
• Provide due diligence support for audits, fundraising, and M&A.
• Mentor junior staff and ensure compliance and accuracy.
