Job summary

Homebound is seeking a Staff+ Tech Lead Manager to blend technical ownership with people leadership while growing toward a Director path. You will stay hands-on and directly manage a 2–4 person team, shaping architecture and delivering production-grade software.

Remote-first and mission-driven, the role offers opportunities to influence product direction, collaborate with cross-functional partners, and scale impact in the modern homebuilding space.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience with real-world impact.
• Experience as a tech lead, team lead, or engineering manager; direct management a plus.
• Built full-stack features using TypeScript, Node, React, GraphQL, PostgreSQL, AWS; learnability valued.

Responsibilities

• Set technical direction for your domain and influence architecture and data models.
• Own full feature lifecycle from design to deployment and monitoring.
• Directly manage a team of 2–4 engineers with regular 1:1s and growth feedback.
• Collaborate with product and design to translate complex processes into reliable software.
