Job summary

Jobgether, on behalf of a partner company, seeks a Staff Site Reliability Engineer – Networking in the United States. You will define and lead networking strategy across a globally distributed hybrid infrastructure, spanning physical data centers, GCP, Kubernetes, and edge protection.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of experience in network engineering, SRE, or infrastructure engineering.
• Deep understanding of TCP/IP, BGP, DNS, TLS, and large-scale load balancing.
• Experience with hybrid infrastructure spanning data centers and public cloud, preferably GCP.

Responsibilities

• Define and own networking direction for hybrid infra including data centers, GCP, Kubernetes networking, and edge protection.
• Design, develop, and automate core networking capabilities and integrate changes into GitOps workflows.
• Lead cross-data-center resilience initiatives including failover and disaster recovery.
• Develop edge protection strategies (DDoS, WAF) for internet-facing platforms.
• Ensure reliability, availability, and performance for large-scale scanning ops and APIs.
• Establish networking standards and drive architectural improvements across teams.
• Mentor SREs and act as senior escalation point for complex incidents.
• Improve network automation, monitoring, health checks, and capacity planning.
