Job summary

CommandLink is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for its monitoring product. You will own the API and UI architecture end-to-end, defining scalable surfaces and topology-driven visuals for troubleshooting across the network.

You'll surface the full account and device hierarchy, enable discovery workflows, and design contracts between services, while mentoring engineers and guiding cross-team decisions in a fast-growing environment.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of network and system topology.
• Production experience with high-volume, latency-sensitive infrastructure.
• Knowledge of contract-driven development with protobuf.

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture and long-term direction of the monitoring product's API and UI.
• Surface hierarchy from company to site, probe, collector, device, and service.
• Lead discovery and inventory: Host Discovery, System Discovery, onboarding sources.
• Build screens to create, edit, and review alert history.
• Define data contracts between monitoring, classification, telemetry, and alert services.
