Job summary

Next Signal Inc. is building a next-generation monitoring and claims-management platform for cloud providers. The engineer will design and implement telemetry, outage-detection, and cloud-networking components, working directly with the founding team.

You will own a broad scope from day one, write production-grade code in Go or Python, and ship AI-assisted features in a fast-paced, 0-to-1 environment that values speed and pragmatic tradeoffs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in cloud infrastructure, network engineering, or a related discipline.
• Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider; multi-cloud exposure is a plus.
• Working knowledge of cloud networking: VPCs, subnets, routing, load balancers, DNS, VPN/Direct Connect.
• Ability to write production-grade code (Go, Python, or similar).

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain systems that watch the clouds: network telemetry pipelines and outage detection logic.
• Own significant surface area from day one and collaborate with the founding team.
• Develop telemetry pipelines capturing latency, packet loss, DNS resolution, and availability signals across regions.
• Design cloud networking infrastructure using VPCs, Transit Gateways, routing and related primitives.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code across the platform.
