GovWorx, Inc. is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to lead architecture and delivery across the SDLC. You will code across the stack, review peers, and ensure alignment with security and quality standards.

US citizenship is required; the role is remote for US-based candidates. You will mentor engineers and drive initiatives in SaaS and on-prem environments, collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years as an individual contributor in software development.
• Minimum of 2 years leading software development teams.
• Experience with .NET and/or Java (Spring Boot a major plus).
• Experience with React, Angular or other modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Experience with APIs, AWS, and relational databases.
• Knowledge of VOIP/telephony protocols and audio handling is a plus.
• Must pass FBI fingerprint and background check in multiple states

Responsibilities

• Team management: standups, retrospectives, coaching, and performance reviews.
• Software design & architecture: create diagrams, docs, and implementation plans.
• Software development: contribute across the stack and write automated tests.
• Collaboration: work with cross-functional teams including customer success.
