Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience in production environments.
• Strong background in services, APIs, and data-heavy workflows.
• Experience with financial systems or other high-correctness domains.
• Ability to manage systems end-to-end, including production support.
• Collaborative experience with product managers and cross-functional teams.
• Pragmatic, execution-focused engineering mindset.
• Strong communication skills and mentoring ability.
• Proficiency in Ruby on Rails or similar backend frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and ship services and APIs for financial integrations.
• Handle payments, settlements, and reconciliation involving customer funds.
• Support critical workflows such as payroll integration and 401k loans.
• Collaborate with product, compliance, and operations to deliver solutions.
• Debug production issues and improve system reliability.
• Work with other engineering teams on system integration.
• Mentor engineers tackling complex technical challenges.
• Write clear, reliable, and scalable code.
