Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. The role focuses on owning cloud and data platform infrastructure with emphasis on reliability, security, cost efficiency, and operational excellence.

You will collaborate with Data Engineering and Security teams to expand platform capabilities, drive automation and observability, and promote engineering best practices across the stack.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in infrastructure engineering, DevOps, or data platform engineering.
• Hands-on experience with lakehouse or big data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, or Apache Spark.
• Proficiency in AWS services such as IAM, S3, and EC2, Python, and infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or CDK.
• Experience with CI/CD and Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Own the data platform across multiple environments, including regulated environments.
• Close control gaps and automate evidence gathering for audits.
• Reduce cloud and platform costs through waste detection and optimization.
• Evaluate and adopt new technologies to expand platform capabilities.
• Improve developer efficiency by collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Enhance lakehouse security and observability in partnership with Data Engineering and Security teams.
• Mentor junior team members and promote engineering best practices.
