Job summary

GoGuardian is hiring a Staff Software Engineer to build and maintain the GG App across Windows, macOS, and iOS, delivering installers, background services, and update mechanisms.

You’ll own installer engineering, deployment paths, and auto-update systems, collaborating across IT, security, and product teams to ensure scalable, secure delivery to school-managed devices. Remote-friendly, with a focus on reliability and impact.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience as a software engineer, with desktop/client apps exposure.
• Deep Windows platform expertise: MSI/EXE, WiX, services, registry, UAC/elevation.
• PowerShell and scripting for install/uninstall automation, logging, and diagnostics.
• Experience deploying software at scale via Intune, Group Policy, SCCM, and/or PDQ Deploy.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain the GG App for Windows, macOS, and iOS.
• Own Windows installer engineering: MSI/EXE, WiX, silent install, code signing.
• Maintain deployment paths using Intune, AD/GP, SCCM, PDQ, and Apple MDM.
