Job summary

Mozilla IT is seeking a Staff Application Engineer, Salesforce to architect, build, and own the Salesforce platform powering Sales and Revenue operations across enterprise product lines. You’ll lead the build from scratch, collaborate with an implementation partner, and then own ongoing platform health.

You will shape AI-assisted workflows and MCP integrations, define data models, and establish governance for secure, scalable Salesforce solutions.

Qualifications

Eight years or more in Salesforce engineering, administration, or architecture.
Experience leading or playing a major technical role in implementing and operating a complex Salesforce environment.
Advanced proficiency with Salesforce declarative capabilities including Flow, validation rules, and sharing rules.
Hands-on ability to read, write, test, and review Apex, SOQL, and Lightning Web Components.
Experience designing Salesforce data and security models for multiple business units or product lines.
Strong understanding of lead-to-cash processes including opportunities, quoting, contracting, orders, and renewals.
Experience integrating Salesforce with enterprise platforms via REST or SOAP APIs.
Experience building AI assistants or MCP integrations securely using enterprise data.
Ability to communicate architecture decisions and tradeoffs clearly to stakeholders.
Ability to work independently, set priorities, and lead complex work across teams.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

Lead the architecture and hands-on development of Mozilla's Salesforce platform across multiple enterprise product lines.
Define scalable data models, account and opportunity structures, sales processes, and sharing rules.
Build and maintain platform capabilities using Salesforce Flow, validation rules, approval processes, and custom objects.
Design lead-to-cash capabilities spanning quoting, contracting, orders, and revenue-management integrations.
Build and maintain integrations between Salesforce and NetSuite, BigQuery, and other systems.
Establish environment strategy, sandbox governance, source control, testing, and deployment pipelines.
Design security models, field-level security, and ISO/SOC 2 compliant controls.
Develop secure MCP servers and integrations exposing CRM data to AI assistants.
Collaborate with Sales, Revenue Operations, Finance, Legal, Security, and IT to prioritize investments.
Establish a sustainable support model and resolve complex production issues.
