Job summary

eHealth is seeking a veteran Staff Platform Engineer to architect and scale internal cloud platforms in AWS, with a focus on AI/ML workflows and self-service tooling. You will guide teams to build reliable, scalable, and secure cloud-native capabilities, including automated deployments and observability.

You will lead design choices, implement CI/CD and IaC patterns, and mentor engineers while ensuring performance and cost efficiency. Remote-friendly with Pacific Time collaboration.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on platform engineering experience.
• Deep AWS Cloud expertise and network design.
• Experience building Internal Developer Platforms with automation.
• Proficiency in CI/CD and self-service tooling.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and optimization of internal platform with AI/ML workflows.
• Develop self-service tooling to provision infrastructure and deploy code.
• Define standardized services, templates, and APIs for cloud apps.
• Oversee CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, ArgoCD.
• Ensure security, cost efficiency, and resilience across AWS.
• Mentor engineering teams on platform practices and cloud architecture.
