Job summary

Accredo Specialty Pharmacy, a division of The Cigna Group, seeks a Staff Pharmacist for a remote U.S. role. During a 2–3 month training period, hours are Monday–Friday 9:00 am–6:00 pm ET.

After training, shifts run 9am–6pm EST or 11am–8pm EST for east coast, and 1pm–10pm EST for AZ residents. The role involves interpreting prescriptions, contacting prescribers and patients, ensuring regulatory compliance, supervising technicians, and supporting pharmacists with complex cases.

Qualifications

• Current pharmacist license in good standing.
• Ability to interpret prescriptions and communicate with prescribers and patients.
• Strong focus on accuracy, quality, and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and quality-check pharmacy technicians.
• Interpret prescriptions and verify information with prescribers/patients.
• Verify controlled substances and ensure accurate system entries.
• Coordinate with physicians for authorizations and transfers.
• Educate patients on medication usage and potential interactions.
• Back up other pharmacists and train staff as needed.
