The Cigna Group is seeking a Staff Pharmacist to interpret prescriptions, verify information, and expedite order processing. This remote role requires licensure in AZ, FL, IN, or OH and involves training followed by a standard M-F schedule with an occasional evening shift.

You will consult with patients, contact physicians to verify details, promote generic options when possible, and back up peers as needed.

Qualifications

• Current pharmacist license in good standing in state of residence.
• Advanced problem-solving and cross-department collaboration.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to read and interpret prescriptions.
• Focus on customer service, quality and accuracy.
• Ability to manage timelines and meet deadlines.
• Adaptability in a changing environment and peak volumes.
• Flexible schedule for peak times.

Responsabilités

• Consult with patients regarding med usage and interactions.
• Contact physicians for new or transfer authorizations.
• Collaborate to convert prescriptions to generics or preferred drugs.
• Interpret prescriptions received from physicians/prescribers.
• Verify prescription details with doctors/patients to expedite orders.
• Verify information entered into the system.
• Back up other pharmacists and train less experienced staff.
