Job summary

Coinbase is seeking a Staff Software Engineer, Mobile QA to lead the App Infra team's efforts in Swift and Kotlin. You will define the mobile QA strategy, build scalable automated testing and ensure rigorous quality gates before each release.

You'll partner with engineering, product, and design to align on quality metrics, SLOs, and dashboards, guiding migration and rollout readiness across millions of customers.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering with mobile QA experience.
• Experience architecting automated regression for native iOS and Android.
• Proficiency in Swift and Kotlin and test framework design.
• Experience with large-scale migrations and quality gates.
• Ability to align cross-functional partners on quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Own the mobile QA infrastructure strategy across the native rewrite.
• Scale automated test systems for regression testing and release readiness.
• Lead QA readiness for phased rollout with metrics and resources.
• Decide when to automate vs manual testing based on ROI.
• Define SLOs and quality dashboards with engineering and product.
• Mentor engineers on test architecture and quality standards.
