Job summary

Coinbase is hiring a Staff Software Engineer, Mobile QA to join the App Infra team within the Consumer & Business group. The role focuses on the native iOS/Android rewrite in Swift and Kotlin, building a scalable QA infrastructure and defining the Frontend quality bar to support ~30 product teams.

You will own the QA strategy, automate regression, guide release readiness gating, and mentor engineers on test architecture and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering with mobile test infra.
• Defined/test infra strategy used by other teams.
• Proficient in Swift and Kotlin, architect test frameworks.
• Experience overseeing QA during large migrations and platform transitions.
• Ability to align cross-team on quality standards and release criteria.
• Responsible use of AI with human oversight.

Responsibilities

• Own mobile QA infra strategy across the native rewrite.
• Build and scale automated test systems for regression.
• Lead the QA readiness workstream for phased rollout.
• Decide resource allocation for testing.
• Partner with engineering, product, design on SLOs and dashboards.
• Shape QA onboarding and mentor engineers on test architecture.
