Job summary

Jack Henry is seeking a Staff Database Reliability Engineer to modernize our enterprise data tier. You will champion a code-first, automated database reliability discipline across a hybrid cloud footprint and migrate workloads to GCP with minimal downtime.

You will build self-service data platforms, set SLI/SLO targets, and lead multi-team efforts to ensure durability, high availability, and rapid recovery in a rapidly evolving banking tech environment.

Qualifications

• 9+ years of experience in cloud and hybrid datacenter operations with a focus on Infrastructure as Code and Reliability Engineering.
• Proficiency with GCP (preferred), AWS, and/or Azure.
• Proficient in using GitOps, Terraform and Ansible in a CI/CD pipeline.
• Experience using PowerShell, Python, or GoLang.

Responsibilities

• Architect, automate, and migrate mission-critical relational workloads into Google Cloud Platform.
• Define database-specific SLIs/SLOs and monitor user impact.
• Build self-service provisioning workflows for data platforms and safe query scaling.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration to deliver reliable, scalable database solutions.
