Job summary

Pinterest is seeking a Data Scientist in the Core organization—Trust and Safety + Content Quality. You will leverage quantitative modeling, experimentation, and algorithms to tackle complex engineering challenges, partnering with Product, Engineering, Design, Research, and Data Engineering to strengthen safety and quality across experiences for hundreds of millions of users.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of data analysis in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience applying scientific methods to web-scale data problems.
• Rigorous approach with attention to detail and high-quality output.
• Strong SQL and at least one scripting language (Python or R).
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to influence across teams.
• Collaborative, cross-functional partnership with product, engineering, and research.

Responsibilities

• Develop deep understanding of Pinterest trust and safety platform and quantify opportunities and risks.
• Lead projects across funnel stages for Trust and Safety.
• Design and productionize scalable ML and evaluation frameworks.
• Establish best practices for instrumentation and experimentation and share with product teams.
• Bring statistical rigor to product creation and improvements while considering user behavior.
