Job summary

CrowdStrike is seeking a Staff Data Engineer to design, build, and deploy data infrastructure powering AI-driven security products. You will lead data platform engineering for LLMs, agents, and RAG at exabyte scale, mentor engineers, and collaborate across Data Science and Product teams to turn research into robust services.

The role emphasizes hands-on coding, architecture leadership, and delivering high-quality data solutions in a rapidly evolving AI landscape.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related STEM field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of progressive Data/Platform Engineering experience, with AI/ML or Data Science at scale.
• Hands-on experience in LLM engineering (fine-tuning, prompt engineering, deployment), RAG, and agentic workflows.
• Proven track record designing/delivering large-scale distributed systems (sharding, partitioning, concurrency).
• Strong ability to write clean, performant, well-tested code and deliver results quickly.
• Experience with AI-enabled secure code development and modern testing paradigms.

Responsibilities

• Architect, implement, and optimize data platforms and pipelines for LLMs, Neural Networks, RAG, and AI agents at Exabyte scale.
• Drive adoption of agentic workflows and harnessing to create autonomous security features.
• Lead by coding highly scalable, fault-tolerant data solutions with rapid iteration and quality deployment.
• Write production-ready code with performance, maintainability, and testing in mind.
• Mentor engineers and run technical workshops to uplift the team’s AI platform capabilities.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists and Product Managers to turn research into production-grade services.
