The Industrial Commission of Arizona is seeking a Staff Attorney (Attorney 4) to provide comprehensive legal representation, advice, and support to the Commission’s leadership and divisions in statewide proceedings and with internal/external stakeholders.

The role involves performing legal research, analysis, drafting opinions, memoranda, and briefs, and ensuring effective advocacy. Remote work within Arizona may be available based on department needs and performance.

Qualifikationen

• JD degree from an accredited law school.
• Active/in good standing Arizona Bar license required.
• Experience in legal research and writing across varied topics.

Aufgaben

• Provide legal representation and advice to Commission members, leadership, and divisions in discovery, research, and litigation strategy; appear at conferences and hearings.
• Draft and edit legal opinions, memoranda, briefs, and official correspondence; maintain communication with clients and judges.
• Serve as a Division representative to internal/external customers; participate in committees and trainings.
• Maintain electronic files and databases in ICA case management systems.
• Support AMS principles, review standard work, and participate in cross-training initiatives.
