ARIZONA REAL ESTATE DEPARTMENT seeks an In-House Counsel to serve as a legal advisor to department leadership, collaborating with investigative, enforcement, and compliance staff. The role involves drafting legal documents, managing a varied case load, and coordinating with the Attorney General’s Office to advance regulatory and legislative goals while protecting the public.

You will help the department fulfill its mission of real estate licensing, regulation of licensees, and public protection

Qualifications

• Arizona real estate statutes and administrative rules knowledge

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic legal counsel to Department leadership and staff.
• Draft licensing decisions, orders, and settlement agreements with clear, concise language.
• Collaborate with compliance, investigative, and enforcement staff to align legal advice with public protection.
• Represent the Department in administrative hearings and settlement conferences.
• Coordinate with the Attorney General’s Office on hearings and appellate matters.
