Job summary

Ladders is seeking a Staff Software Engineer AI Foundations (ai Agent Optimization) to join a leader in the Information Technology space. This remote role will work across data, AI-enabled capabilities, and scalable technology delivery, influencing architecture and execution quality across teams.

The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a technology-driven environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proven experience optimizing AI systems using machine learning and systems techniques.
• Fluency in Python, TypeScript, Java, and Go.

Responsibilities

• Design and build agentic coding systems to ensure high-quality outputs.
• Maintain and expand knowledge of agentic coding and AI application development patterns.
• Take end-to-end ownership of new features and improve developer experience.
• Collaborate with AI Foundations team to enhance existing agents and develop new capabilities.
• Write public technical documentation for the company concepts and APIs.
