Job summary

Capital One is seeking an experienced Staff AI Engineer to help build scalable, responsible AI systems within the Intelligent Foundations and Experiences (IFX) team. The role involves collaborating with engineers, researchers, and product managers to deliver AI-powered solutions across the enterprise.

You will work on foundation model training, inference, and multi-model workflows, using a broad stack including AWS Ultraclusters, Huggingface, VectorDBs, and PyTorch.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS/AI/EE or related field with 6–8+ years of AI/ML experience.
• Proficient programming experience in Python, Go, Scala, CUDA, or Java across large-scale AI projects.

Responsibilities

• Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver AI-powered products.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support AI software components (foundation models, inference, agents).
• Lead architecture direction and governance for enterprise AI systems.
