Job summary

GRF CPAs & Advisors, a Bethesda, MD CPA Firm, seeks an accountant to join our Outsourced Accounting and Advisory Services team. You will handle outsourced engagements using Sage Intacct and QuickBooks Online, working in a team-based environment with client interaction. This full-time role offers a comprehensive benefits package and growth opportunities.

Remote or hybrid work is possible. The office is two blocks from Bethesda Metro, with a benefits package including 401(k) and insurance options.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting and/or 1-3 years' experience.
• Proficiency with technology including QuickBooks Online, Bill.com, Sage Intacct is preferred.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive firm and client information.
• Enthusiastic and positive attitude, willingness to learn and be a team player.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable using Bill.com and resolve sync errors.
• Record transactions in ledgers and prepare simple financial statements using QuickBooks Online and Sage Intacct.
• Reconcile bank accounts and resolve discrepancies.
• Perform monthly schedule computations of accruals, depreciation, and prepaids.
• Enter monthly recurring adjusting journal entries.
• Assist in proofing financial statements, tax returns, and other documents.
• Perform other accounting duties as assigned by supervisors.
