Typically 5–10 years of public or outsourced accounting experience are required; a CPA is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting with relevant experience in public or outsourced accounting
• CPA is preferred but not required
• Experience in leading accounting operations for nonprofit/government contractor clients

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations for a portfolio of nonprofit and/or government contractor clients
• Ensure timely monthly close processes, financial reporting, and compliance (grant and contract)
• Serve as primary client contact and maintain regular touchpoints to build trust
• Support onboarding by establishing workflows, timelines, and expectations
• Present financial results and insights to client management and leadership
