GRF CPAs & Advisors seeks a senior accountant for its Outsourced Accounting and Advisory Services team. You will support government contractors with monthly close, GL management, and cloud-based tools (Unanet, QuickBooks Online).

Responsibilities include supervising staff, coordinating engagements, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards while delivering high-quality client service from a hybrid Bethesda-based model.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in public accounting or private industry with progressive responsibilities.
• Experience with government contractors strongly preferred.
• CPA firm experience is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Manage various aspects of the monthly close, reconciliations, schedules, and financial reporting.
• Apply accrual accounting knowledge to enter and review transactions and GL management.
• Utilize cloud-based tools like Bill.com and Expensify for client engagements.
• Coordinate engagement phases with supervisors, review workpapers, and maintain client communication.
• Provide oversight and coaching to staff accountants and support professional development.
• Assist clients with understanding financial statements, FAR/DCAA compliance, and cost accounting basics.
• Ensure deliverables meet accounting standards and firm protocols.
• Maintain strong client relationships and responsive service delivery.
