Slim Chickens | APRESTGROUP is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead accounting for 16 existing restaurants and two additional entities. The role demands hands-on leadership, close oversight of monthly processes, controls, and cash flow, with collaboration across operations.

The position is initially remote with a plan to transition to a hybrid setup in the Tulsa metro area as offices open.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent.
5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in restaurants or hospitality, utilizing QuickBooks Online (QBO).
Strong experience in managing multi-location accounting and close processes.
Deep understanding of cash flow, AP/AR, and internal controls.
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Strong communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

Manage the monthly close process, including posting of GL transactions, bank reconciliations, and payroll postings.
Prepare accurate and timely financial statements per company policies.
Daily cash management responsibilities.
Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions weekly.
Maintain and improve internal controls, policies, and procedures.
Partner with operations and leadership on financial insights.
Assist with new restaurant openings and future acquisitions.
Coordinate with external CPAs, auditors, and tax advisors.
