Job summary

Mobiz IT, Inc. in Houston seeks a Staff Accountant to own the recurring transactional accounting and month‑end close, including journal entries, reconciliations, and intercompany allocations.

You will code with full dimension sets in Dynamics 365 Business Central and ensure accuracy across departments and projects. This hands-on role requires 4+ years of progressive accounting, US GAAP knowledge, and the ability to work independently to improve close cycles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of progressive accounting experience with month-end close ownership.
• Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP (revenue recognition, deferrals, accruals).
• Minimum 2 years hands-on Dynamics 365 Business Central experience as described.
• Demonstrated accuracy under deadline and sound judgment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post recurring close journal entries (revenue deferrals, accruals, amortization).
• Reconcile bank, credit card, AR/AP, and intercompany balances monthly or weekly.
• Own payroll allocation and intercompany cross-charges end-to-end.
• Produce monthly P&L by department and variance analysis.
• Support tax/compliance, budgeting, and forecasting tasks.
