Arbor Research Collaborative for Health is seeking a Staff Accountant to support the general ledger, month-end close, financial reporting, and accounts payable in a government contracting environment.

The role includes journal entries, reconciliations, cost distribution, ASC 606 revenue recognition, contract billing, and collaboration with the Accounting Manager and program teams to uphold strong financial controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
• 3+ years of general ledger or staff accounting experience, preferably with government contracts.
• Experience with Unanet (timekeeping, expense, project, or financial modules).
• Familiarity with FAR Part 31, DCAA audit requirements, and indirect rate structures.
• Strong GAAP knowledge and reconciliation practices.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data reconciliation).
• Familiarity with Uniform Guidance (2 CFR 200) and Single Audit requirements for federal grants.
• Experience supporting Incurred Cost Submissions and forward pricing or provisional billing rate proposals.

Responsabilités

• Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations across key accounts.
• Support general ledger close and month-end reporting.
• Assist with project setup, revenue recognition, and contract billing.
• Process vendor invoices and manage accounts payable workflows.
• Coordinate with audits (DCAA/DCMA) and external auditors as needed.
• Maintain chart of accounts and cost allocations across projects.
