Coffee ‘n Clothes is seeking a detail-driven Staff Accountant to maintain the general ledger, reconcile accounts, and support month-end close, with responsibilities in AP/AR and compliance.

This remote role collaborates across departments to improve processes and ensure accurate financial reporting for client projects in an agency setting.

Bachelor’s in accounting with 2–3 years’ experience preferred; strong communication and ability to work independently in a fast-growing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• 2–3 years of accounting experience with AP/AR, GL maintenance, payroll accounting.
• Hands-on with journal entries, analyzing accounts, and reviewing financial statements for accuracy.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and communicate across teams.
• Experience in an agency or media environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process daily bank transactions and manage day-to-day cash moves.
• Record journal entries for payroll and employer expenses/liabilities.
• Code and route vendor bills for approval; execute weekly check-runs.
• Reconcile AP processing system with QBO; resolve data integration issues.
• Balance sheet account reconciliations: cash, payroll liabilities, deferred revenue, accruals, prepaid, equity.
• Review Income Statement for accuracy and provide commentary for review.
