Job summary

Kalamata Capital Group LLC is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our accounting team in a 100% remote position. You will support month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting under the Controller.

The ideal candidate has 2–4 years of experience, a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, strong Excel skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
• 2–4 years of accounting experience in public or corporate accounting.
• Strong Excel skills and ability to handle large data sets.
• Experience with month-end close and general ledger processes is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries and maintain general ledger accounts.
• Perform monthly reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Assist with month-end close, year-end close, and financial reporting.
• Reconcile bank and balance sheet accounts; monitor payables and receivables.
• Support audit and tax schedules and maintain organized records.
