Job summary

AxisKey, a growing FinTech and CPA firm, is seeking a Staff Accountant to support day-to-day accounting, close processes, audits, and tax procedures in a remote-first role serving U.S. GAAP requirements.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in accounting, a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, and strong experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite or QuickBooks, plus excellent Excel skills. Fluency in English is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3+ years in an accounting role; familiarity with U.S. GAAP required (IFRS is a plus).
• ERP systems experience, ideally NetSuite or QuickBooks.
• Strong skills in Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Fluency in English is essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain financial records, reports, and general ledger accounts.
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and support the monthly close.
• Assist in building budgets and forecasting financial performance.
• Manage documentation for accounts payable, treasury, and audits.
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Support external audits and tax-related requests.
• Collaborate with the Accounting Supervisor and cross-functional teams.
• Ensure all reporting is accurate, timely, and compliant.
