Job summary

Fine Point Consulting is hiring a Staff Accountant to join a high-energy team handling AP/AR, reconciliations and payroll for diverse clients.

The role emphasizes accuracy, timely processing, and positive client interactions in a flexible, remote-friendly environment across the country.

Starting salary ranges from $45,000 to $50,000 annually; requires a Bachelor's in Accounting or equivalent, and strong Excel skills; QuickBooks Online experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent experience.
• Strong tech skills, especially Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to multi-task and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Experience with QuickBooks Online.
• Experience in a paperless environment.

Responsibilities

• Process client invoices and post customer payments, sales tax exemptions, and sales tax returns.
• Process vendor bills, code transactions, set up new vendors, W9 admin and 1099 prep.
• In-house payroll processing, payroll tax handling, new hire setup, and liaison with providers.
• Prepare account reconciliations.
