Socket.dev is hiring a Staff Accountant to manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable across three entities, leveraging AI-enabled accounting software to streamline routine processing. The role supports monthly reporting and trend analysis, with a focus on accuracy and exception handling.

The position is remote but requires a Dallas/Frisco, TX area presence to pick up mail weekly. Experience with Bill.com and QuickBooks Online is essential, along with strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of accounting experience with direct AP/AR responsibility
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
• Proficiency with QuickBooks Online and Bill.com
• Strong Excel skills and comfort with AI-enabled accounting tools
• Experience working across multiple entities preferred

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day AP and AR workflows across three entities using Bill.com and QuickBooks Online
• Review, code, and approve vendor invoices
• Generate and send customer invoices; monitor collections and past-due accounts
• Reconcile AP and AR subledgers to the general ledger for each entity
• Flag cash flow implications from AP/AR trends to the Controller
• Prepare month-end AP/AR trends summary for leadership
• Sort mail and pick up weekly from Dallas/Frisco area
• Maintain accurate vendor and customer records across entities
