Job summary

Peerspace is a remote-first company seeking a Staff Accountant to own the accounts payable function and support the finance team in daily operations. The role reports to the Controller and emphasizes accuracy, vendor relations, and process improvements.

The position is fully remote with core collaboration hours, competitive salary in the $70,000–$80,000 range, and benefits including healthcare and home-office stipends. Prior experience with US GAAP and AP tools is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of accounting experience with ownership of core duties
• Working knowledge of US GAAP and its practical application
• Proficiency in Excel, including vlookups and pivot tables
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and prioritization in a fast-paced environment
• Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills, with cross-functional collaboration

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end accounts payable process, including invoice entry, coding, and routing for approval in Bill.com
• Maintain accuracy and completeness of the AP subledger
• Management of Stripe invoicing
• Support the monthly close process, including journal entries and reconciliations
• Assist with annual audit preparation by organizing supporting documentation
• Collaborate with Controller on process improvements and ad hoc projects
• Partner with internal teams to ensure proper coding and approval of expenditures
