Ethos is a new expert network built by a McKinsey/SoftBank/DeepMind team and backed by world-leading investors. We’re hiring experienced staff accountants to help train AI models on professional documents and spreadsheets.

This remote, flexible role requires 5+ years in corporate accounting or audit support, with strong GAAP knowledge and advanced Excel skills. Compensation is $80 per hour, with 5–20 hours per week to start.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in corporate accounting, financial operations, or audit support with close reconciliations ownership.
• Fluency in GAAP, PBC documentation standards, and spreadsheet-based control testing.
• Expert-level document, spreadsheet, and slide craftsmanship with strong written communication.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly close reconciliations and journal entry packages.
• Prepare audit request schedules and PBC documentation.
• Create and analyze accounts payable and receivable aging reports.
• Draft budget-to-actual variance summaries.
• Document internal control walkthroughs and SOX testing memos.
• Maintain vendor and expense audit trail spreadsheets.
