Job summary

Hire Latam LLC is seeking a Remote Construction Project Accountant to support cost tracking and financial management of construction projects. You will collaborate with accounting, purchasing, billing and project managers/ operations teams to implement accurate job cost tracking and job progress reporting on a monthly and quarterly basis.

• 2-3 years experience in construction or project-based accounting.
• Strong understanding of the Purchase Order process in construction.
• Strong understanding of job cost accounting and financial reporting.
• Knowledge of InEight is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively with project managers.

Responsibilities

• Track and maintain job budgets and job cost reports.
• Track and analyze job costs including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
• Prepare monthly job cost and variance reports for management.
• Collect job performance information to prepare WIP reports monthly and yearly.
• Monitor PO approval process and enforce internal policies by operations and purchasing teams.
• Track Change Order activities.
• Identify potential cost overruns and work with project teams to resolve issues.
• Support job/project closeout activities, including final cost reconciliation and record keeping.

Job Title: Remote Construction Project Accountant (100% Work From Home)

Location: Remote from Latin America

Position Type: Full-time

Salary: $1,000 - 2,000 USD/month paid via bank transfer or Thera

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00a.m to 5:00p.m Eastern Time

Job Overview:

We are looking for a Construction Project Accountant to support the cost tracking and financial management of construction projects. This role will collaborate with accounting, purchasing, billing and project managers/ operations teams to implement accurate job cost tracking and job progress reporting on a monthly and quarterly basis.

Responsibilities:

• Track and maintain job budgets and job cost reports
• Track and analyze job costs, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors
• Prepare monthly job cost and variance reports for management
• Collect job performance information to prepare WIP reports on a monthly and annual basis
• Monitor materials and subcontractor costs; monitor Purchase Order approval process and enforce adherence to the internal policies by operations and purchasing teams.
• Track Change Order activities
• Identify potential cost overruns and work with project teams to resolve issues
• Support job/project closeout activities, including final cost reconciliation and record keeping

Qualifications, Skills, and Key Competencies:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
• 2-3 years experience in the similar role, construction or project-based accounting
• Strong understanding of the Purchase Order process in construction
• Strong understanding of job cost accounting and relevant financial reporting
• Knowledge of InEight is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively with project managers
