Job summary

Gainwell Technologies LLC is seeking an experienced SSRS/SSIS Reporting Business Analyst to bridge business needs with technical delivery. You will gather reporting requirements, translate them into data mappings and functional specs, and support SSRS/SSIS development and validation of data integrations.

The ideal candidate combines strong BA skills with hands-on SQL and reporting experience, with fully remote options available for Contiguous US locations.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years as a BA, Reporting Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar technical role.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
• Working knowledge of SSIS and ETL concepts.
• Strong SQL/T-SQL skills for data querying and validation.
• Experience drafting report specs, data mappings, and user stories.
• Experience with source-to-target mapping and data transformations.
• Knowledge of relational databases and data relationships.
• Experience with test planning including UAT.

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, document, and manage business, reporting, and data requirements.
• Translate needs into functional requirements, user stories, and data mappings.
• Define SSRS report requirements: fields, parameters, filters, calculations, grouping, sorting.
• Partner with developers to support SSRS/SSIS development and ETL processes.
• Analyze data sources, validate reports, and resolve discrepancies.
• Document transformation rules for SSIS and support testing efforts.
• Develop test scenarios, execute tests, and coordinate UAT with stakeholders.
• Maintain traceability to ensure delivered solutions meet requirements.
