Job summary

Gainwell Technologies is seeking an experienced SSRS/SSIS Reporting Business Analyst to bridge business needs with technical teams. You will gather requirements, translate them into detailed specs, and support SSRS/SSIS development and data integration efforts.

The role emphasizes SQL/data analysis, test planning, UAT coordination, and ensuring data quality across reporting solutions in a healthcare-focused environment.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years in BA, Reporting/Data roles.
• Experience with SSRS and SSIS.
• Strong SQL/T‑SQL skills.
• Experience with data mappings and ETL.
• Experience with UAT and test planning.

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, document, and manage business, reporting, and data requirements.
• Translate business needs into functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, report specifications, and data mappings.
• Define SSRS report requirements including fields, parameters, filters, calculations, grouping, sorting, and business rules.
• Partner with developers to support SSRS reports and SSIS/ETL processes.
• Analyze source and target data and develop source‑to‑target mapping documentation.
• Use SQL queries to research data, validate report results, reconcile discrepancies, and support root‑cause analysis.
• Document data transformation and validation rules for SSIS processes.
• Work with business and technical teams to understand database tables, views, stored procedures, data relationships, and system interfaces.
• Develop test scenarios and test cases and perform functional, integration, regression, and data‑validation testing.
• Coordinate and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and business sign‑off.
• Investigate production reporting and data issues and coordinate resolution across teams.
• Maintain requirements traceability and ensure delivered solutions meet approved business requirements.
