Job summary

Canonical is hiring a Site Reliability Engineer to strengthen our enterprise OpenStack and Kubernetes platforms. You will deploy and operate OpenStack, Kubernetes, storage solutions, and open source apps, applying DevOps across bare metal to containers.

You will work globally with mission-critical services for brand-name customers while growing Python, Linux, networking, and cloud skills. The role is globally remote with occasional in-person events and international travel.

Qualifications

• Degree in software engineering or computer science.
• Python software development experience.
• Operational experience in Linux environments.
• Experience with Kubernetes deployment or operations.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, curiosity, flexibility, and accountability.
• Ability to travel internationally twice a year, for company events up to two weeks long.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and run OpenStack, Kubernetes, storage solutions, and open source applications, applying DevOps practices.
• Work across bare metal to containers on the full open source stack.
