Job summary

LaSalle Network is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer (Compute Platform) for a remote, contract-based role focused on infrastructure and platform architecture. You will design bare-metal provisioning, imaging, and private cloud integration using Kubernetes and IaC tooling.

Responsibilities include automating server deployment with PXE boot and Redfish APIs, building Kubernetes on bare-metal, and collaborating with hardware teams.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in infrastructure/platform engineering, DevOps, or related fields.
• Hands-on experience automating bare-metal environments at scale.
• Deep knowledge of PXE boot, Redfish APIs, and network-based OS provisioning.
• Practical experience with enterprise hardware: Cisco UCS, Dell PowerEdge, Supermicro, or HPE.
• Strong expertise in Linux (Ubuntu preferred), hypervisors such as KVM, and Kubernetes deployment.
• Proficiency with IaC tools like Terraform and Ansible.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure automation.
• Scripting skills in Python or Bash.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field

Responsibilities

• Architect and design scalable bare-metal infrastructure, including provisioning and imaging.
• Automate server configuration and deployment using PXE boot, Redfish APIs, and other infrastructure automation tools.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform, Ansible, or similar tooling.
• Deploy and manage production-grade Kubernetes clusters on bare-metal hardware.
• Collaborate with hardware teams to ensure enterprise hardware compatibility and efficient lifecycle management.
• Utilize deep Linux expertise to troubleshoot and optimize system performance.
• Implement and support enterprise hardware management with Cisco UCS, Dell PowerEdge, Supermicro, or HPE.
• Write and maintain Python or Bash scripts to automate infrastructure processes.
• Ensure security standards and compliance are met within infrastructure deployment.
