Job summary

A global tech services company is seeking an SRE Support Engineer. This role involves supporting internal developers working with a complex compute platform, focusing on Linux, Kubernetes, and Docker. Responsibilities include onboarding users and troubleshooting issues with significant technical complexity. The ideal candidate will have strong foundational skills in Linux and networking, along with excellent problem-solving abilities. The position is remote, offering freedom and flexibility.

Qualifications

• Strong Linux fundamentals including processes and kernel basics.
• Strong Linux networking skills, especially TCP/IP and DNS.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes beyond managed cloud platforms.
• Expertise in Docker and containerization.
• Experience providing production support for large-scale systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-touch onboarding support for internal customers.
• Act as the first line of support for Kubernetes and container issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across Kubernetes and Docker environments.
• Write technical tickets, incident summaries, and knowledge base articles.
• Collaborate with teams to identify platform bugs and propose improvements.
