Job summary

Piper Companies is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to join a government-focused technology team supporting mission-critical infrastructure and platform operations. The SRE will manage Kubernetes environments, implement Terraform-based IaC, and drive improvements in stability, performance, and scalability.

The role offers a fully remote work environment in the United States and requires 4+ years in SRE/DevOps, with strong Linux and cloud experience.

Qualifications

4+ years of experience in SRE, DevOps, or cloud/infrastructure engineering.
Hands-on experience managing Kubernetes environments.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
Strong Linux knowledge and cloud infrastructure exposure.
Familiarity with monitoring, observability, and production support best practices.

Responsibilities

Administer and maintain production Kubernetes environments.
Design, implement, and manage Terraform-based infrastructure deployments.
Build and enhance monitoring, alerting, and observability capabilities.
Support incident management, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
Collaborate with engineering and operations to improve performance and efficiency.
Develop automation to streamline infrastructure management.
